Martin Tschirren

Deputy Director of the Swiss Union of Cities and Towns

Born in 1971, Martin Tschirren studied history and theology at the universities of Freiburg (Switzerland) and Nijmegen (Netherlands) and accomplished advanced training in communication and administrative law.

Since 2008 he has been working for the Swiss Union of Cities and Towns, where he is deputy director since 2010. Prior to this he was a Swiss diplomat and worked as Head Public Affairs for a hydroelectric power company.
